40 days and counting...

Wow, I just looked at my ticker and realized we only have 40 days to go. It seems like May will never come, but March flew by so I would expect April to be here and gone before we even know it.

Everything is going great, I am just a little tired of being prego. Can't sleep, have bad heartburn, need to pee every 5 minutes, get winded walking up one flight of stairs, and have a hard time bending over to pick things up off the floor. I was talking with a customer at Gap the other day and mentioned that I don't enjoy pregnancy and I hope that doesn't make me a bad mom already. She said not to worry, she was the same way with each of her four babies. She said that the newborn phase is that much easier because you're glad to just not be pregnant anymore. How very reassuring that I am not the only one who feels that way:) Again, I hate to complain since things have been pretty easy for me and we are very blessed to have this new baby coming into our lives BUT I really just want to feel normal again. AND finally hold little Baby B!

Phil and I went to the Wild game last night. It was very exciting, they won in OT v. the Avalanche. It's funny how each time we go somewhere lately- to a restaurant or a game- we both think about whether or not we could bring the baby with us. Last night we saw a dad carrying around an infant. The baby was dressed in Wild gear, but was fast asleep and completely unaware of it's surroundings. Too cute! We decided that we could do Twins, Wild or T-Wolves games w/ a baby. I think we are trying to believe that our lives will not change too much, although we both know in reality that is not the case.

Back to the grind! I am very much looking forward to maternity leave so I can take a little break from F&B.

Happy Snowy Monday!

happy st. patty's day

Well I have a little case of the blues today which could be attributed to any one of the following: the falling snow, it's Monday and I'm at work, I'm tired and hungry and anxious, or that it's St. Patrick's Day and I can't have a green beer to make me feel better. Ha!

Technically I have 8 weeks to go with the pregnancy, but at my last OB appointment, Dr. Bryz said to keep working out and this baby just might come a week or two early. I definitely worked it a little harder a the gym after hearing that! I shouldn't get my hopes up though. Knowing my luck, Baby B will decide to make an entrance two weeks late:) Baby is 3-4 pounds now and these last few weeks he/she will just be fattening up (which means mom will too!). It seems like there's no more room in there already.

We started baby classes last week. Maybe I can get Phil to publish a post on those from a guy's perspective?? He keeps saying that he is going to be on the golf course the day I go into labor, so they don't really matter. I told him he most likely wouldn't be married anymore if that happens:) He likes to kid about that.

Have a great day!

locked up

Thought I would post another funny picture of the Poopers. You are probably thinking it's not THAT funny, they're in their kennel. For most dogs, yes, that is normal. However, our dogs are not normal. Hank absolutely despises his own kennel. He cries and whines so we haven't put him in it forever. He does occasionaly wanders into Piccolo's kennel to take a nap. It is typical behavior of Hank the Tank- he wants what is not his! Personally I think he likes the view to the outside world from there. Here they are sitting nicely together...a rare sight indeed given the small space!
